Efficacy and Tolerability

The following pages provide an overview of the efficacy and tolerability of once-daily extended release quetiapine fumarate (quetiapine XR; SEROQUEL XR) in patients with schizophrenia.

The immediate release formulation of SEROQUEL™ is administered twice daily for the treatment of schizophrenia.  A once-daily extended release formulation of SEROQUEL (SEROQUEL XR) has been developed to provide patients and physicians with a more convenient dosing regimen that reaches the recommended dose range in 2 days.

Please consult your local prescribing information before prescribing SEROQUEL or SEROQUEL XR.
