About SEROQUEL XR
What is SEROQUEL XR? SEROQUEL XR is an atypical antipsychotic indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (bipolar mania, bipolar depression and the prevention of recurrence of bipolar disorder). SEROQUEL XR is a once-daily tablet of the extended release formulation of quetiapine fumarate. SEROQUEL XR dosed once daily is considered to be therapeutically equivalent to the immediate release formulation of SEROQUEL dosed twice daily

SEROQUEL XR: schizophrenia

- SEROQUEL XR is effective at preventing relapse in stable schizophrenic patients who have been maintained on Seroquel XR2
SEROQUEL XR: bipolar disorder
- SEROQUEL XR is effective across all phases of bipolar disorder[3],[4]
SEROQUEL XR: bipolar mania
- SEROQUEL XR is a once-daily treatment for the moderate to severe manic episodes in bipolar disorder[3]
SEROQUEL XR: bipolar depression
- SEROQUEL XR is an effective once-daily treatment across a broad range of symptoms of bipolar depression[4]
SEROQUEL XR: prevention of recurrence in patients with bipolar disorder
- SEROQUEL XR is effective for the prevention of recurrence in patients with bipolar disorder, in patients whose manic or depressive episode has responded to SEROQUEL XR or SEROQUEL treatment[5],[6]
- SEROQUEL XR is an effective maintenance treatment for patients with bipolar I disorder as an adjunct to lithium or divalproex[7],[8]
